EU: the EU is still far from agreements on the recovery Fund

Negotiations on the European Union's recovery Fund from the effects of coronavirus have a long way to go ahead of a summit of EU leaders later in July, a senior official of the bloc involved in the discussions said on Thursday.
The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that negotiators intend to maintain the size of the proposed 750 billion Euro recovery Fund, but slightly reduce the size of the EU's multi-year budget.
European Council President Charles Michel will propose a budget for 2021-2027 in the amount of 1.05 trillion euros to 1.094 trillion euros, the official said.
